This is a painting by Nathan Ford.
I went to the National Portrait Gallery yesterday to have a look at what the BP Portrait Award show had to offer. Well, as usually it showed a whole lot’a talent and really great work. Although my favourites weren’t the winners! Actually my favourite painting was this tiny oil on canvas-one of the smallest paintings there. I like how it’s unfinished, I like the centered composition, the detail of the right side of his face and the chaotic brush stroke. Lovely :)
Gotta love that car. The Citroen 2CV. 2CV meaning “deux chevaux” or “two tax horsepower”. The car was an economy car produced between 1948 and 1990 mainly for the working class. It’s one of my favourite old cars :)
